Look out for the Five-Oh.
<<< Any view of Hawaii like this reminds
Somebodyisfromhere.com of that scene in Blue
Crush when...
Wait what? Too girly?
Oh what the hell, does anybody else find Blue
Crush sexist? A girl that lives in a shack on an
island happens to find love with an outsider, a
professional athlete - a quarterback no less - who
happens to also be rich.
Girls in shacks are generally the type of girls that
are in Somebodyisfromhere.com's league. If he's
losing out on them to rich athletes, then he'll have
no chance. Now he's has an eating disorder and
whatever that disorder is that makes him want to
be rich. Thanks Hollywood.
Anyway, unlike Hollywood, Hawaii is nearly flawless. In this day and age, it's worth it just to see areas untouched by man
made objects. Hawaii features nearly all of the Mother Nature's more well thought out fantasies.
In fact, its terrain is so diverse that the military has taken notice. The US government has always liked the idea of
picturesque islands, but they usually just bombed them. Hawaii though is different. The military has used the land as a
location for training of their elite troops, in part, because it offers so many different geographic possibilities.
This week, somebodyisfromhere.com looks at the part of the world responsible for the coconut bikini and the cool way college students refer to the police.

Still, it's an area that man would have to work
hard to screw up. Even humans have been
able to compliment, if not enhance, the views.
For example, the state is peppered with
lighthouses. The Kilauea Lighthouse (pictured)
is perhaps the most beautiful sitting atop an
accessible cliff.
And finally, speaking of humans, 2009 marks
the first time ever in which my favorite Hawaiian
is a male. Step aside Tia Carrere, the position
is now held by fleet-footed baseball player
Shane Victorino who also has a cannon for an
arm and a World Series ring(Although, while
"researching" this paragraph, I learned about
Kelly Hu so Mr. Victorino's stint may be short
lived).
Of course, When writing about famous Hawaiians, one question continues to come to mind. Why have I heard of them?
In other words, when in Hawaii why would you actually choose to leave?
